How to reach EASSS places

Public transports in Torino are handled by GTT. In general you can use the GTT service called Journey Planner for planning which buses/tramway lines to use for going from one address to another (go to http://www.comune.torino.it/gtt/en/ and click on Journey Planner in the side menu).

Information about single lines (routes, stops, maps) can be found here: http://www.5t.torino.it/5t/en/trasporto/trasporto-pubblico.jsp. Just click on the line you are interested in, Click on the direction and you will obtain all the information. Example: bus 15, it can be used for going from one residence to the other.

Pay attention: tickets are NOT sold on-board. You must purchase them before getting on the bus. Sales points (mainly "tabaccherie" - tobacconist's shops - and "edicole" - news stands) and vending machines are numerous. A full list can be found here: http://www.comune.torino.it/gtt/en/pointsale/

Reaching Torino from the airports

• From Turin airport "Sandro Pertini": besides taxis, you can either use SADEM buses or the train. Pay attention: most of trains stop at Torino Dora, which is not in the center of the city. The train ticket is to be bought before getting on the train and can be used also on Turin buses and tramway lines; the bus ticket can be bought also on-board. Here is the airport web site. Trains and buses run about once every 20 minutes.
• From Milan airport "Malpensa": timetable of the bus connections (it takes about two hours)
• From Milan airport "Linate" or Bergamo airport "Orio al Serio": get a bus to Milan central railway station ("stazione centrale"). Get a train to Torino (both "Porta Susa" and "Porta Nuova" railway stations are fine).

Reaching Residence Borsellino

• From Porta Nuova railway station: bus number 68 in direction "Frejus" for 5 stops; get out at stop "Palagiustizia" and continue on foot along Via Borsellino. Alternatively, tramway line 9 in direction "Stampalia" for 5 stops; get out at "Palagiustizia" stop and continue on foot as above.
• From Porta Susa railway station: Bus number 56 in direction "Di Vittorio" for 10 stops; get our at stop "Monginevro Est" and continue on foot along Via Borsellino. Lines stopping in the surroundings of the residence: 16, 42, 33, 9, 15.

Reaching Residence Lungodora

• From Porta Nuova railway station: Bus nr. 68 in direction "Cafasso" (it was "Casale") for 12 stops, get out at "deposito GTT" and continue on foot along Corso Novara, then left in Lungo Dora Siena to the Residenza. Alternatively, tramway line nr. 15 in direction "Coriolano" for 11 stops, get out at stop TORTONA, continue on foot along Corso Tortona, then left in Lungo Dora Siena to the Residenza.
• From Porta Susa railway station: Bus nr. 55 in direction "Farini" to the end of the line, continue on foot along Corso Farini, turn right in Via Pallavicino and continue to Lungo Dora Siena. There is also the night bus 119.

Reaching Art Boston Hotel:

• From Porta Nuova railway station: Go to bus stop nr. 00253 - Torino (Porta Nuova - FS). Take the tramway line 4 towards Drosso Cap. for 4 bus stops. Get out at the stop 1913 - VESPUCCI. Walk to your destination.
• From Porta Susa railway station: Go to bus stop nr. DOD - XVIII DICEMBRE (piazza XVIII Dicembre - stazione Porta Susa) Take the line METRO towards PORTA NUOVA for 2 bus stops. Get out at the stop REU - RE UMBERTO. Go to bus stop nr. 525 - VITTORIO EMANUELE II (corso Re Umberto dopo corso Vittorio Emanuele) Take the tramway line 15 towards Brissogne Cap. for 3 bus stops. Get out at the stop 260 - EINAUDI. Walk to your destination.

Reaching EASSS location (Educatorio della Provvidenza)

• From Porta Nuova railway station:

  Go to bus stop nr. PNU - PORTA NUOVA, Take the line METRO towards Collegno for 1 bus stops. Get out at the stop REU - RE UMBERTO. Go to bus stop nr. 525 - VITTORIO EMANUELE II (corso Re Umberto after corso Vittorio Emanuele) Take the tramway line 15 towards Brissogne Cap. for 5 bus stops. Get out at the stop 428 - DE GASPERI. Reach the destination in CORSO TRENTO, 13 - TORINO

  Go to bus stop nr. 252 - PORTA NUOVA FS (via San Secondo after via Magenta). Take the city bus 58/ towards Salvemini Cap. for 5 bus stops. Get out at the stop 376 - POLITECNICO. Reach the destination on foot.

  The distance is 1.9 Km. Out of the station turn left, walk along corso Vittorio Emanuele II, turn left to via Sacchi, turn right to via Magenta, left to corso Re Umberto, right to via Assietta, slightly left to via Vela and then Lamarmora, right to corso Stati Uniti, left to corso Galileo Ferraris, right to corso Stati Uniti, left to corso Galileo Ferraris, slightly right to corso Einaudi, right to via Govone, arrive in corso Trento.

• From Porta Susa railway station:

  Go to bus stop nr. 27 PORTA SUSA FS, get on number 10 towards Caio Mario Capolinea for 4 bus stops. or the city bus 91 towards Settembrini Cap.. Get out at the stop 376 - POLITECNICO. Continue on foot.

• From Art Boston hotel: walk along via Massena and turn left to corso Sommellier. Go to corso Einaudi and turn right to via Govone. You will cross c.so Trento where the school is located. If you prefer to go by bus, go to bus stop nr. 260 - EINAUDI (corso Re Umberto / corso Einaudi). Take the tramway line 15 towards Brissogne Cap. for 2 bus stops. Get out at the stop 428 - DE GASPERI. Walk to your destination.
• From Borsellino:

  Go to bus stop 622 FERRUCCI (c.so Peschiera / c.so Ferrucci). Get on tramway line 15 towards Coriolano. Stay on it for 3 stops. Alternatively get on the tramway line 16CS towards Porta Palazzo Ovest. Get out at the stop 427 FERRARIS. Reach your destination on foot (about 600 meters). It takes about 20 minutes. Trams pass (avbout) every 5 minutes.

  If you prefer to walk, the suggested streets are: via P. Borsellino, via Pier Carlo Boggio, c.so Ferrucci, c.so Peschiera, c.so Einaudi, via Govone, c.so Trento. The distance is about 1.5Km.

• From Lungodora:

  go to bus stop number 570 REG. MARGHERITA (c.so Belgio / c.so Regina Margherita) and wait for tram number 15 towards Brissogne Cap. Stay on it for 16 bus stops. Get out at stop 428 DE GASPERI. You are at about 200 meters from the place. It takes on the whole about 40 minutes. In the morning the tram passes (about) once every ten minutes.

  If you want to cross Torino on foot, the distance between the two places is 3.6 Km. The journey planner suggests to follow these streets: Lungo Dora Siena, via G. Rossini, via Santa Giulia, via Carlo Denina, viale dei Partigiani, viale Primo Maggio, piazza Castello (the heart of Turin), via Pietro Micca, piazza Solferino, corso Re Umberto, via Assietta, via Vela, via Lamarmora, corso Stati Uniti, corso Galileo Ferraris, corso corso Stati Uniti, corso Galileo Ferraris, corso Einaudi, via Govone, corso Trento.

Reaching Palazzo Madama
